We recommend a smooth and above all a clean surface. Groovy Magnets wallpaper and stickers adhere to almost any smooth indoor surface such as: smooth painted walls and doors, metal, wood, glass, cardboard, paper, plastic, kitchen cabinets etc. When your wall has a grain/structure, a wooden panel can offer a solution. Apply the wallpaper to the panel with wallpaper glue and simply attach it to your wall with corner screws.
In our webshop we offer the suitable adhesive for magnetic wallpaper. (! Do not use self-dissolving, powder-based wallpaper paste. This is not suitable for magnetic wallpaper).
If you prefer to look for a suitable adhesive yourself, we can recommend the following ready-to-use adhesives for vinyl wallpaper:
Due to the closed and waterproof structure of magnetic wallpaper, it is not possible to soak it off. However, it is possible to remove the wallpaper from the wall: Start pulling down from a corner and slowly pull downwards. Any remaining textile backing can be removed by moistening it with a plant sprayer filled with lukewarm water. Remove with a putty knife.

Warm the sticker with a hairdryer and carefully peel it off bit by bit. Always keep heating every piece well. Depending on the substrate or the quality of the painted surface, it will be easier to remove the sticker. The longer the sticker is on a substrate, the more firmly it sticks. For a smooth painted surface removing will be easier than for a wallpapered wall
For optimal adhesion, we recommend the magnets from Groovy Magnets. A pawn or disk magnet can hold up an average of 5 A4 sheets. Most other magnets work on our wallpaper and stickers. However, if you want to be sure that your magnets work on our material, order a sample. Check out our magnetic magnetic 'toppings’: our large magnets in the form of handy wall boards, wall containers and photo shelves!
The surface to which the wallpaper or sticker is to be applied must be as even as possible. Underlying structures such as fibreglass wallpaper, rauhfaser wallpaper or smooth wallpaper will become visible through the wallpaper / sticker. Also, the magnetic effect will not be optimal because the contact with the magnets is not maximum. If your wall has a grain/structure, a wooden panel can offer a solution. Apply the wallpaper to the panel with wallpaper glue and simply attach it to your wall using corner screws.
Apply the sticker only to a flat surface without structure. When the sticker sticks, heat the front and edges of the sticker thoroughly. Blow close to the sticker with the hairdryer (don’t worry, it won’t get damaged or melted). The heat makes the adhesive supple and gives optimum adhesion. Press the sticker firmly. Only hang heavier magnets on the sticker after 24 hours.
If the sticker still does not stick well, use this glue as an aid or ask us for advice.
Yes. Our paintable magnetic wallpaper with primer coating is paintable with any paint. The wallpaper is coated with extra iron so that the magnetic force remains optimal even after 2 layers of paint.
A primer (in this case: by pre-gluing) should be applied to a highly absorbent substrate or one that is powdering on the surface.
To check if priming is necessary, spray some water on the surface with a plant sprayer. If a colour difference occurs within 3 minutes, priming is recommended. Method: dilute enough wallpaper glue with some water and apply one layer of the mixture to the surface with a glue roller. When the surface feels dry (after about 15 min), start gluing before wallpapering.
All our wallpapers and stickers are water repellent and can be cleaned with a damp cloth and dish soap.
Chalkboard material: remove any stubborn streaks with a magic eraser with a dash of vinegar and some dish soap.
Whiteboard material: clean with a dry cloth.
White magnetic wallpaper: remove any stubborn streaks with a magic eraser with a dash of vinegar and some dish soap.
If residue should still remain, you can remove the streaks with Dr. Beckmann Stain Devils Ballpoint Ink & Felt-Tip.
Make sure you have a glue roller to spread the glue on the wall, a sturdy ruler + a sharp knife to cut away any excess and a soft cloth (or a pressure roller) to rub air bubbles in the wallpaper to the edge. You will find a handy starter kit in our webshop.
Before painting the paintable magnetic wallpaper: you can fill the seams with a fine plaster such as 'Polyfilla One-Fill' . When applying black wallpaper, you can paint a black stripe on the wall where the strokes meet before papering. In this way, the underlying wall will not be visible. Both solutions give the wall a nice whole.

Yes, inform us by email about the return of your order. The items must be returned within 14 days after receiving the parcel. All returned goods must be returned unused, undamaged and in the original packaging to: Groovy Magnets, Van Lissumstraat 97b, 2100 Deurne, Belgium
Outlet products or promotional products can not be returned or exchanged.
The buyer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Include a note with your name, address and your bank account. Mazout Graphics bvba will refund the returned goods within 14 days from the receipt of the returned good.

We send all our parcels with Bpost. Depending on the destination country, your package will be transferred to a local partner (such as DPD or DHL). You will always receive a track-and-trace code to follow your parcel.

The parcels are accompanied by an invoice and a customs declaration signed by us. Magnetic wallpaper has no effect on the WiFi signal.
No, unfortunately not! You easily attach the wallpaper to the wall with special (ready-made) wall glue. The wallpaper itself does attract magnets, hence the name 'magnetic wallpaper' :-) You can find the right glue in our webshop.
There is no expiry date on magnetic wallpaper, magnetic stickers or magnets. The magnets therefore do not lose their power on the wallpaper or stickers over time :)
Sounds like a good plan. You can use our wallpapers as a splashback wall in the kitchen or bathroom. The wallpaper is water-repellent and easy to keep clean with a cloth with a little soap and water.
Magnetic wallpaper and magnetic stickers are only suitable for indoors.
Our wallpaper and stickers are made of a flexible vinyl with iron particles in it. This makes the wallpaper it heavier than normal wallpaper. The writable wallpapers and stickers have an additional chalkboard or whiteboard coating. The back of the wallpaper is a non-woven textile backing for extra grip on the wall. The magnetic stickers have a self-adhesive adhesive layer with a removable sticker sheet.
The budget-friendly classic magnetic wallpaper contains less iron than the premium magnetic wallpaper. The classic wallpaper is therefore ideal if you mainly want to write on the wall with chalk. You can also hang up notes on this wallpaper with strong neodimium magnets.The premium magnetic wallpaper contains more iron and is therefore thicker/heavier. Thanks to this, you can easily hang all kinds of notes and also our magnetic toppings on the premium wallpaper.

One 750 g pot of glue is sufficient to attach a wide roll of magnetic wallpaper of 102x265 cm to the wall. For the widest roll (120x265cm), order 2 pots of glue if pre-gluing is required.
Have you ordered a sticker? For this you do not need to order glue. The sticker has a self-adhesive backing.

We only have a webshop. You can find a selection of our products in our dealers. If you want to feel and test the material, you can request free samples. For this we only charge shipping costs.
The outlet products are offered at a lower price because they have little aesthetic imperfections. In order to prevent wastage, we offer these items as outlet products. Aesthetic flaws vary from those that are visible to the naked eye to those that are almost invisible. This can range from small scratches on a piece of wallpaper to an imperfectly powdered wall shelf. They are definately still value for money.
